Acoustic Hailer
The LT-PMS-2B Hailer is a portable system available as a stand alone unit or as an integrated pan/tilt assembly that is capable of broadcasting verbal commands or messages at distances up to 1,650 feet (~500 meters). Using two MAD-1 planar transducers and 400 watts of amplifier power, this compact speaker can produce a maximum output of 80 dB-SPL* at 500 meters with unparalleled clarity and intelligibility. It weighs less than 40 lbs. with a rechargeable battery. The rear panel control allows easy access to all of the volume controls for the three built-in warning signals, a microphone input, and two line inputs allowing playback of prerecorded messages or warnings from an MP3 player, an iPod, Phraselator, or other similar device.
